Christmas 2005

It was a very special Christmas this year. We had family all around us and a new baby to share our traditions with. I could tell that Evan enjoyed every minute. All Skylar said the entire month of December was "I'm so excited about Christmas!" This was the first Christmas season he really understood what was to happen. When asked whose birthday it was, he would reply "Jesus".
Ron so enjoyed Ryan being in town. I think I heard more tech talk in those few days than I had the past 12 months. I know Ron wishes he could live closer. It was so nice to spend time with him. Skylar fell in love with him and cried when he had to leave. Mom told me that Rachel wouldn't walk him to the door, maybe in hopes he wouldn't actually leave.
My mom spent Christmas with us this year. All that she has gone through this year has been so hard on her. I'm proud of her for her accomplishments and coming through stronger than she was going in. Besides the gifts and all the activities that make it a nice holiday, I'm most thankful for family, friends and God who sent his son Jesus to be "with us". Merry Christmas!
