Separation

Today is Sunday, the busiest day for us. Ron gets up really early, gets ready and always kisses us all good-bye. It's usually pretty easy for him because by 3:00 a.m. both boys have made their way to our bed. This morning Skylar heard the motion and woke before Ron had a chance to quietly slip out. Lately, Skylar has been going through separation anxiety and began to cry when he realized that Daddy was leaving. I quickly reminded him, "It is Sunday and we will all be at church together soon. It's still dark, so when the sun comes up, we will get ready to go. Please go back to sleep for now." He replied with tears streaming down his face, "But Momma, he is the only Daddy I have." I was able to soothe him back to sleep. When the alarm went off, he asked, "is it sunny out yet?"

"...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5
