Skylar lost the second of his two front teeth tonight...just in time for Christmas. He lost the first just a month ago. He was soooo nervous to let me try to pull on it. He said "I don't want to look like Grandpa Shark" which is a song we sing with lips curled over our teeth to make it look like we have none. Anyway, when he finally gave in, I gave a gentle tug and out it came. He looked shocked for a moment, but then started dancing around, yelling "oh yeah baby!!" and doing the standard Skylar hippy shake. I told him it wasn't as bad as having one end of a string tied around your tooth and the other around a door knob (thanks Dad)...good times:)
Sky is getting so big. He is sweet, gentle, smart and one handsome little guy. The tooth fairy is hardly welcome here. We watched with excitement and waded through drool, as those little teeth sprouted into view. Now they are falling out to make way for a big boy. I can't help but cry a little when I think of how fast it all goes. I am blessed.
