I am convinced that Skylar (9) is wise beyond his years. After watching "Creature from the Black Lagoon" this afternoon, he felt real heart-changing conviction. He teared up and began confessing that he felt the movies he's been watching have been foolish choices. He said that he's sure that they were leading him to act out and treat people badly. He said he realized that there are people out there that have nothing and he has so much. I had an opportunity to talk to my son about how Holy Spirit convicts us and our need to turn from sin, ask Jesus to forgive us and then strive for holiness. After a long talk and praying together, he said, "Mom, I'm so glad we can confess and Jesus will forgive our sins."
I love him so much, my heart hurts.
