Toaster Ablaze

I woke this morning to the smell of something burning. Ron ran into the kitchen to find chocolate chip cookies on fire inside our toaster oven. Evan said he "did it all by himself". He was proud until he realized we were running around frantically trying to put a fire out. I'm not quite sure why he would have needed to toast the cookies, but we thank God no one was hurt and the house only suffers from the temporary smell of charred cookie. Our toaster spent the day in the front yard (who knows what the neighbors thought) and now lives in the trash can. Evan learned his lesson and I'm still learning that my boys will always bring adventure to my life.
