First Communion

We had a Thanksgiving Communion service today at church. We were sitting, waiting for instructions when Skylar whispered to me that he wanted to join us. It hadn't dawned on me that he was ready. February will be two years since he accepted Christ as his savior and he has asked a lot of questions lately about spiritual things. I felt a peace about it and quickly said yes. With a few questions to make certain he understood, we made sure he was ready to receive. It was so sweet to see him take this step in his walk with God. We prayed together as a family and took the elements together. I will never forget this day:)
