You Can Do It!!

Evan begged me to come outside to play basketball with him after we finished school today. He was throwing the ball with all his might, even though the net was way too high for him. He kept at it and didn't give up trying. After some time, he gave the ball to me to make some shots. I took my stance and he yelled, "You can do it Momma! I know you can!" I didn't make it the first time, so he cheered me on to try again. My second shot went into the basket. Evan jumped up and down and screamed in celebration for me. When he got the ball again, he tried and tried until finally he threw it hard enough to make it in. I cheered for him and jumped up and down for him. He put his fist in the air, pumped it down and yelled, "YES!" It was a lot of fun to celebrate with each other. I'm proud of my boy for being able to encourage me to keep trying and celebrate with me even though he hadn't succeeded yet.
